DENTAL VENEERS
Dr. Neil L Starr
Veneers are restorations for tooth defects or deformities. Veneers are thin, shell-like restorations that are designed to cover the front portions of visible teeth. They effectively cover over minor imperfections in your teeth, restoring their appearance, and the appearance of your smile. They are frequently made from porcelain or “particle-filled“ ceramic, which can perfectly imitate the enamel of your natural teeth.
Dental Veneers can conceal imperfections in your teeth. We can hide teeth that have chips, are stained, misaligned, or are inconsistently spaced. With the simple application of a veneer, we can significantly enhance the appearance of your smile and help you have a look to be proud of. Dr. Starr and his staff can help you with those minor dental imperfections, helping you achieve a beautiful smile.
Our porcelain or ceramic veneers are a very popular cosmetic dentistry solution, providing our patients both symmetry and beauty in their smile. Dr. Starr is one of a small number of Fellows/members of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry recognized for offering extremely natural-looking veneers – providing more than just beautiful teeth, but designed to fit the patient’s lip shape and facial form. Procedure for Constructing PORCELAIN or CERAMIC VENEERS
The process for constructing your porcelain or ceramic veneers typically requires at least two to three office appointments. During your first appointment, Dr. Starr will remove a small portion of natural tooth structure, this is to allow space for your veneer. the tooth is prepared, impressions are taken. These impressions will be used to create a wax pattern of the final veneer(s). Once the dimensions are finalized and the artistic touches of our technician are applied, the veneer is created in the dental laboratory. During the final appointment, the veneers are attached to the teeth using a strong dental adhesive.
