Veneers and Lumineers
Dental Veneers can conceal imperfections in your teeth. We can hide teeth that have chips, are stained, misaligned, or are inconsistently spaced. With the simple application of a veneer, we can significantly enhance the appearance of your smile and help you have a look to be proud of. Our staff at Neil Starr, DDS, PC, along with Dr. Starr or Dr. Orta can help you with those minor dental imperfections, helping you achieve a beautiful smile.

What Are Porcelain Veneers?Dental veneers are designed to have the precise appearance of your teeth but perfected. With them, we cover and conceal teeth that are damaged or misshapen, leaving only perfect appearing teeth. Veneers are created from thin porcelain shells, which Dr. Starr or Dr. Orta bonds to the front surface of your enamel. The result is beautiful looking teeth, and depending on the situation, we will work to create a perfect line of symmetry in your smile.
Porcelain veneers are a great cosmetic dental solution for patients who wish to address:
• |
Small or worn-down teeth |
• |
Minor dental misalignment |
• |
Chipped or cracked teeth |
• |
Asymmetrical or misshapen teeth |
• |
Teeth with intrinsic stains (staining on the inner structure of the tooth) |
Why Our Veneers Are ExceptionalThe difference in our veneers comes from the time we put into the design and placement. Dr. Starr takes the time to create detailed mockups, then your veneers are fabricated right here in our onsite laboratory. The work done in office is overseen by Dr. Starr or Dr. Orta, meaning you are getting customized care from beginning to end. Working with our excellent ceramist and state-of-the-art technology, we ensure that our patients receive veneers that provide long-term satisfaction.
Dr. Starr's patients can expect that their veneers will look great and fit comfortably even before the veneers are permanently placed. As part of every initial diagnostic evaluation, mockups of veneers are meticulously created for patients to review. Based on patient feedback, Dr. Starr or Dr. Orta will then make modifications, ensuring that your permanent veneers fit properly and meet your goals.
Dr. Starr and Dr. Orta's practice includes an in-house dental lab. Your veneers are created to his exacting specifications. We are committed to incorporating the best in dental technology. With our onsite CAD/CAM (Computer-aided Design and Computer-aided Manufacturing) dental unit, Dr. Starr's and Dr. Orta's patients can enjoy veneers that are customized exactly for them.
Placing Your VeneersThe placement of your porcelain veneers typically requires at least two office appointments. During your first appointment, Dr. Starr or Dr. Orta will remove a small portion of natural tooth structure, this is to allow space for your veneer. Some products such as Lumineers may require less tooth structure to be removed. We will then etch the tooth to create more surface area to assist in a better bond. Once the tooth is prepared, impressions are taken. These impressions will be used to create a wax pattern of the final veneer. Once the dimensions are finalized, the veneer is created in our onsite lab. During the final appointment, the veneers are attached to the teeth using a strong dental adhesive.
